Each year, the KansasFest committee bestows the the Apple II Forever award upon members of the Apple II community for their contributions to the platform. At KansasFest 2012, Beagle Bros alumnus and AppleWorks developer Randy Brandt, attending KansasFest for the first time in nearly two decades, was honored with an Apple II Forever award. The first-ever recipient of the award, former Beagle Bros president Mark Simonsen, delivered this remote message to the honoree.
